Matt Trapp - Director

For more than 13 years, I have dedicated my career to leading high-quality early childhood programs with a focus on safety, connection, positivity, and growth. I graduated from UNO with a degree in multiple disciplinary studies, and as a seasoned daycare director, I bring a balance of professional expertise and personal passion to Blondo Childcare and Preschool — creating an environment where children thrive, families feel supported, and staff feel inspired.

What sets me apart in the daycare setting is my hands-on leadership style and commitment to building meaningful relationships. I believe that strong communication, consistent structure, and a warm, welcoming atmosphere are the foundations of exceptional childcare. I work closely with teachers to support their professional development, with families to understand their needs and goals, and with children to give them the nurturing, confidence, and joy they deserve each day. My programs consistently stand out for their organization, family engagement, and innovative approaches to early learning.

Outside of my professional life, I am a devoted husband and a proud new father. My wife and I recently welcomed our daughter, an experience that has deepened my appreciation for the trust families place in their childcare providers. Becoming a parent has strengthened my belief in compassionate leadership and reminded me of the importance of creating safe, supportive spaces for every child.

In my free time, I enjoy traveling, listening to music, and spending quality time with my family. Whether we’re exploring new places or making memories at home, these experiences ground me and fuel my passion for building strong, family-centered childcare communities.

With over a decade of leadership, a family-centered perspective, and a dedication to excellence, I strive each day to elevate the standard of care and to create daycare environments where children, families, and educators feel truly valued.

Natalie brings a wealth of experience and a heart full of dedication to her role as Assistant Director at Blondo Childcare & Preschool. With a strong commitment to the well-being and development of children, she has made a significant impact on the childcare industry for nearly two decades.

 

Natalie and her family made Omaha their home almost six years ago, and since then, she has been a shining beacon in the community. As a devoted mother of three children, Natalie understands the importance of creating a nurturing and stimulating environment for young minds to thrive. Her personal experiences have further fueled her passion for early childhood education and development.

 

With an impressive career spanning 19 years in the daycare industry, Natalie has gained invaluable insights and honed her skills as a childcare professional. Her journey has allowed her to touch the lives of countless children and parents, making a positive difference each step of the way. Her dedication to fostering a safe, loving, and educational environment is unmatched.

 

Natalie is committed to working closely with the Blondo Childcare & Preschool team to ensure that every child in our care is provided with the best possible start in life. Her expertise, compassion, and dedication are sure to make a profound impact on our children and families.
